Fall Festival

I didn't get any actual pictures of the festival part, because I forgot that I had my new camera. I have gotten so used to not having to keep track of one, just my purse and phone and hat. And that was the list that I kept going through in my mind when we left. My phone had dropped out of my pocket (blast those pitiful girl pockets) and that was what was on my mind after it got dark. I was looking for my phone so long that I forgot all about my camera.

So right after I found the phone I got in Tyler's car and only after we got home did I even remember that I had brought my new camera. But thank goodness for my Church family. They take such good care of me :)

Mrs. Gandee found the camera and she checked the pictures on it to see if she could identify who's it was. She said right after she saw the pictures of the cake she new it was mine and brought it to church the next morning. How amazing is she!?!? Here is the cake that I made for the cake walk. I think Travis Allen ended up winning it, but we ate it right then so he didn't get it all to himself. :)





For the dark orange and dark green lines on the cake, I used food coloring and a paint brush. I was pressed for time because I had to get there early enough to start the Face Painting, so I didn't do the bottom border as well as I had planed on. But I liked the over all affect of the cake.
