Blue Berry Picking

We picked 7 and a half gallons of blue berries! But of course that doesn't hold a candle to the 15 plus that the Blairs picked!!! They have some very experienced pickers. :) The boys made a video called, "The Blue Berry Whisperer" Staring (in order of appearance) Britton and Asher Blair. Haha! It's pretty funny. We got to the patch at about 8 in the morning, and we called it a day at about 12 O'clock. Then we went out to eat at Juanita's Mexican restaurant. It was very fun to see the Blair family again! I always have a very good time when we see them, even if I didn't feel to great most of the time. :) Not enough sleep. Enjoy the video!

Happy Independance Day!!! (Late)

I had a grand 4th of July. Good friends, food, swimming, singing, Bonn fires, Frisbee, and seeing how high you can swing in a hammock before you tip over. But before all that, we did go to church. Pop preached and it was great! He entwined a history lesson into what the biblical perspective was about Christians and politics. And we had Pot-Luck and guess what I made? A CAKE!!! Big surprise right? I had to decorate it after I got to church, and you should have seen the multitude of kids who were watching me. It was like Moths to a candle!

Daffy-down-dilly

Thanks to Mother Goose, here is a nursery rhyme that goes with my post.

Daffy-down-dilly
Has come to town
With a yellow petticoat
And a pretty green gown.

I made a cake with sugar daffodils that I made with royal icing. It is so fun to make cakes like this. Almost as fun as eating them! I did the decorating in my class at Hobby Lobby, and then went straight to the Websters house to have dinner and eat my creation. Yum... and then we played clue! I had forgotten how to play Master Clue. In my defence, I know how to play Clue Jr.! Too many nights spent babysitting... Any ways, i learned how to pipe basket weave with butter cream icing. Yay! Tell me if you like it!
